A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Our Chefs' Photoshoot at The Inn at Millrace Pond

Last week, our executive chefs from both Connecticut Wedding Group and Frungillo Hospitality Group came together at The Inn at Millrace Pond for a special food photoshoot, and it was every bit as delicious as it sounds. Set within one of New Jersey’s most beloved wedding venues, the day was all about celebrating the artistry, collaboration, and intention that goes into every menu we serve.

Where Culinary Talent Meets Timeless Setting

The Inn at Millrace Pond provided the perfect backdrop for this shoot. With its historic charm, manicured grounds, and elegant interiors, the venue effortlessly elevated every plate that came out of the kitchen. Natural light poured into the barn ballroom as our chefs styled dishes designed to photograph beautifully while still staying true to how they’re served on a wedding day.

This wasn’t just about aesthetics - it was about capturing the heart of our food philosophy: thoughtful presentation, bold flavors, and menus that feel personal to every couple.

A Collaboration Across Connecticut & New Jersey

One of the most exciting parts of the shoot was seeing chefs from our Connecticut and New Jersey teams working side by side. While each chef brings their own background, influences, and signature touches, the shared focus was clear: elevated, crowd‑pleasing cuisine made with care.

From plated entrées to passed bites and desserts, the menus showcased the versatility couples can expect when working with our full‑service teams. Every dish was carefully composed, photographed, adjusted, and tasted (a very important step), ensuring what you see truly reflects what your guests will experience.

Food That’s Designed for Real Celebrations

Unlike stylized editorial shoots that don’t translate to real events, this photoshoot focused on authenticity. The portions, plating, and details were all created with actual wedding service in mind (because beautiful food should also be practical, seamless, and delicious for a room full of guests).

These new images will help couples better envision how their menu can look on their own wedding day, whether they’re planning an intimate celebration or a large‑scale event.

Why This Matters for Our Couples

Food is one of the most memorable parts of a wedding day, and we believe it deserves just as much attention as the venue, florals, and design. By investing in collaborative shoots like this one, we’re able to show how seriously we take the dining experience.

The result? Updated imagery that reflects our current menus, our evolving culinary creativity, and the level of care our chefs bring to every event.

Coming Soon

You’ll start seeing these new food photos across our websites, social media, and planning guides very soon. If you’re currently exploring venues in New Jersey or Connecticut and want a closer look at how our culinary team can tailor a menu to your celebration, we’d love to connect.

Because at the end of the day, great weddings are built around great experiences - and great food is always at the center of it.
