Located in the heart of the New Jersey Botanical Gardens in Ringwood State Park, Skylands Manor offers 44 stately guest rooms that reflect a time gone by and have been recently restored to include modern amenities.  There are endless things to do year-round, and in the summertime the gardens, woodlands and surrounding towns are in full bloom.

Recipe ~ Grappa Cured Lemon Slices


Frungillo Caterers’ Caviar & Smoked Trout on Grappa Cured Lemon

Executive Chef Joanna shares the recipe for the Grappa Cured Lemon Slices layered within our Cavier & Smoked Trout tasting spoons. Note: You will need three days to prepare this unique lemon recipe ... trust us, IT IS WORTH THE WAIT! Ingredients:1 dozen lemons1 tablespoon Kosher salt2 cups sugar1 cup grappaInstructions:After cutting, be sure to pick out any seeds from the lemon slices. Mix the salt and sugar together. Cover the bottom of a small glass container with a layer of salt/sugar; Layer on one of the sliced lemons, and cover with a layer of the salt/sugar mixture. Repeat this until all the lemon slices are covered. Add 1 cup grappa. Seal the container and leave on the counter for 3 days.Place salad on top of the cured lemon. Final Countdown to Andrea & Daniels' All-Vegan Wedding



Andrea and Daniel are just a day away from being wed! Frungillo Caterers is hosting our very first all-Vegan wedding for the couple at The Villa at Mountain Lakes tomorrow. Andrea and her mother, Barbara, came to The Villa earlier this summer to put the final touches on the wedding menu and event coordination.
